Established in 1953, Redbud is a cooperative house at Cornell University. We are a diverse group of 34 undergraduate, graduate, and international exchange students. Our goal is to be a welcoming and safe community that supports and enriches its members through thoughtful interaction, responsibility and generosity.
At most times of the day, people hang around to engage in conversation or perhaps a game of pool. Often in winter, people are drawn to the fireplace in the living room, and when warm weather arrives they hang out in the back yard.Learn More

"Mosey" is how Cornell's cooperative houses select new members (think "rush" but for co-ops). Each semester, all of Cornell's cooperative houses hold an open house on the same day. For the following week or so, we hold fun events for moseyers to visit each house and get to spend time with current house members. At our house, moseyers will also experience what it's like to cook and eat on our meal plan. After the events, moseyers will enter a weighted lottery system and be selected by a blind selection process.
Mosey typically happens early to mid semester. If you want to join then keep an eye on our instagram page @redbudcoop will often be the most updated source of information.Learn more about mosey
Our meal plan provides a dinner every day except on Saturday. If you can't make it to one, add yourself onto the save plate list to save your portion for 24 hours. If you're invited by a house member to join us for dinner, add yourself to notify the cook group about your dietary restrictions.Save Plate
